Illicit Merger No. 2

From my Illicit Mergers Series. Painted next to the green piece shown in the images. Both paintings incorporate primer used as bold elements of each painting, which is where the name Illicit Mergers emerged. These pieces contemplate the idea of the generally unaccepted finding their way into the conversation, be it “pedestrian” mediums in “fine” art or social concepts into common discourse. I focused on deliberately high contrast elements in these works to highlight the idea of disparate ideas coming together.
