Much of my work lately has been made using large squeegees and alternative tools, painted flat to start while listening to emotive music that affects my movement as the piece is made. I’ve been thinking a lot about fragmentation the past year, as it relates to the state of American politics and personal interactions on a day to day basis. That notion has impacted the visuals of a lot of recent work, from color to the type of energy and movement I’m putting into the painting.
